Çalıştay Özeti:
The terms cultural and social capital, conceptualized by education philosopher and researcher Pierre Bourdieu, play an important role in the lives of youth with disabilities during transition into adulthood. Cultural and social capital resources that are established via social networks are essential to successful transitions across all grade levels. This workshop will discuss the origins of capital resources and strategies for increasing transition-related capital through the establishment of social networks and inclusive educational and community settings. We will focus on capital related to school achievement, employment, postsecondary enrollment, and community involvement.
